yeah it was bizzare bazaar today =D

we didn't do very much sadly, rather we couldn't do very much, due to time constraints as the teachers only let us go play at 9.15

i ate the weirdest float-sold to me by my sister. lol. chocolate n vanilla ice cream with 100plus lemon!?!?!? yeaugh...

we got joan a personal flower-deliverer and tried to make him sing happy birthday to her. haha. we ended up singing to her ourselves lol!

we went for the funniest haunted house ever lol! okay it was slightly freaky inside but it was like so pitch black that we couldn't see anything anyway so the 'scarers' didn't really have an effect on us =P i'm sure cynthia freaked some of them out lol. screaming at the top of her lungs into their ears. oh and we were all in there screaming "visual purple!" lol. no idea why. bio students =P

i bought a helium balloon. we all did.

we were like really late for chinese cos we were supporting yuggy in his sms competition, which we helped him win. haha. but they didn't do very much in class either .

later we all went mad with helium haha. cynthia especially. she sounded so cute with helium! we even tried to make mr wee do it. he wasted one balloon though lol.

Little turtle

we saved this turtle yesterday. yeah it's a turtle. not just a turtle but a softshell turtle, a fresh water turtle.

guess where we found it? IN THE SEA! poor poor turtle.

we were playing frisbee on the beach when my brother threw the frisbee into the sea. as we retrieved it from the waves, we saw this poor thing crawl out of the water and onto the beach with it's last ounce of strength. once it got out of the reach of the waves, it stopped moving, probably to rest. not only was it ehuasted from fighting the waves and current in the sea, dehydrated due to the high salinity of the salt water it was also covered on blood. something must have tried to eat it or something, probably a bigger fish. we just stood there and watched it, so shocked to see it on the beach, half dead.

someone must have released it into the sea, without thinking. otherwise how would it have gotten there?

it was a soft shell turtle, the kind we eat and i think the person who released it must have bought it from a seafood restaurant and tried to release it to 'save' it from being cooked. though it came from a good intention, but there's no point trying to 'save' the turtle if you just throw it into the sea, where it isn't supposed to be, where it will die anyway. sigh some people just don't know.

anyway we carried it to the pond near the resort and put him there. haha. he was so happy to be back into fresh water that he started to swim around immediately, so happily. the picture is of him in the pond.

yeah. one animal saved.

the rest of the beach was nice.

Sister's isle and stuff...

don't you just love camping?

on saturday my family and my friends family went camping on Sister's island, the small sister.

so it was like 12 people(my family 6, her family 6) plus a doggie on the beautiful island. haha. we got it to ourself, yes the WHOLE island, until about lunchtime. then the fishermen came.

i'll just chuck some pictures here...

and caught up on sleep, at least my dad did =P

 

we even brought Coral!

we also brought hammocks. we slept in them at night cos there was not enough tents.

all the kids were in hammocks, well the bigger kids, it was like this small little hut with five swinging hammocks and five noisy kids in it. haha! it was quite fun at night

er, andrew was eating a cookie. we brought loads of food. nice food somemore! other campers had maggi mee and other cliche camping food. what did we eat for dinner? meatball pasta and lamb! haha. almost gourmet food.

at night my dad built a campfire. it was so pretty!

haha. the boys were thrilled by it

they kept trying to put things to burn. they put a grape, newspaper,twigs, leaves, potato chips and alot more stuff. lol

the night was so cool! at first we were all sleeping in hammocks in the hut, listening to music, talking, then we all escaped to the tents cos the mosquitoes were eating us alive. so irritating.

then in the middle of the night, about 4 am there was a MASSIVE storm in jurong there was suddenly SUPER SUPER strong wind. stronger then i've ever experienced. my dad said it was at least 25 knots!! the most i've sailed in is 20 knots.thank goodness we weren't sailing...

anyway my tent and my sister's tent almost blew away. talk about stong wind man... seriously the tents were shaking like crazy, like there was an earthquake. and we were inside it. haha. sure woke me up.

the next morning we explored the rocky shore at low tide. loads of corals, anemones and seagrass.

Coral (the dog) came too. lol.

speaking of resting this weekend, i won't even be in singapore! okay i'll still be in singapore but not on the mainland. going camping! =D on Sister's island (some little island down south) with family and friends. yeah. a whole 2 days away from civilisation (my dad say's i can't bring my phone >.<), no TV, no computer, no homework, no books.... sounds fun! haha. sure hope so.

i miss my cousins. they look very ang moh don't they? haha. cos they are half angmoh anyway. they presently live in Belgium, yes in the land of chocolates(yummy!) cos my uncle is from belgium. wish we could go over there and see them. i wanna visit Europe!!!! (esp. England! =P)

seriously my family is scattered all over the world. (and how many times have i said this?)

ah. i got mother's day dinner soon so happy slacking/studying guys!
