i hate me.

i'm supposed to be doing maths. but the blank maths paper is still staring up at me, even now as i type this out, which i shouldn't be doing.

gah, when will reality come and kick me full in the face? when will i wake up and say "hey! there's so little time, i need to study". i'm slipping into a fantasy, where stupid Olevels don't exist and where i am free to explore the very depths of the cyber world.

something's wrong with me. i just cannot register that theres only so little time till the final exam. and that now there's only 6 days standing between me and the rest of the prelims. oh help.

geez, i really need to lock up this computer. there's just so much you can do with the internet, with stuff like blogging, youtube, google... i don't know if i should thanks the makers of the internet or hate them. they sure have overly-distracted people like me who are supposed to be studying with the endless possibilities of using their wonderful network. or is everyone else studying and not getting distracted? yes? okay, then it's just me.

ahhhhhh. someone kick/pinch/slap me please and scream into my ear about prelims and exams and studying. maybe then i'll wake up.

i think i shouldn't allow myself to watch Back to the Future later. :|

HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY!

wait... it's not teacher's day just yet. we just celebrated yesterday.

i suck because i didn't manage to get much pictures yesterday. silly me decided to leave my stupid bag behind the assembly plaza and wasted the glorious chance of taking photos of our ACES day, which was, in fact quite terrible.

nay, it was horrible.  sad to say it was the worse ACES day i've done. it wasn't the dance. i liked the dance. cute and enjoyable. it was just the fact that they broke the whole school into 2. by houses. i mean, it just wasn't fun no more, not without the whole school doing together. besides, ACES day is when All Children Excercise Simultanously. it isn't ALL if half the school is sitting there watching the other. oh well, never enjoyed the housing system anyway. so much for the "ohh make the whole school united...blahblahblah". House System = social segregation!

well anyway. the concert, however, was pretty good fun and cute. heh.

mr Haresh AKA the Phantom of TK. so cute! haha. really sent us into fits of laughter. and he can sing too.

my favourite was the dance by the sec 4s! they were so amazing. hats off to them man, they can dance.

i also really liked the sec 3 band. i must say they're one of the best TK bands i've seen! not that there are very many anyway.

it's sad actually, our last teachers day here. next year we'd be the ones coming back, crying because of how much we'd miss TK. shouldn't think about that yet...

ahhh. i should get started on studying.

The beginning of the end.

today, my friends, was the last day of normal school.

today we had the last day of normal lessons, the last of our timetable and the last of normal recess. today, we had the last PE lesson.

tomorrow will be the start, the start of prelims, the start of the cramming, jamming and stuffing of four years worth of knowledge and info into every nook and cranny of our cranium. tomorrow will kick off the worrying, panicking and stressing for the O levels. dear me.

today, was the end of the good times, the fun that we all had in our four years at TK and tomorrow will be the start of the mad, tough sprint to the finish line, the final lap of our secondary school studies - the worse one.

God, how time flies when you're having fun, coupled with stress, intense studying and crazy revision. it seemed like only yesterday that i was complaining about how we only had a few weeks to prelims, going on and on about how a slacker i've been. and now, i'm staring prelims in the face, just nervously awaiting the start.

but, unhappiness, countless woes, nonchalant and melancholic thoughts aside, today, the 27th of august 2008, my brother Andrew turns 6. oh my gosh. 6? as in S-I-X 6?

yes, this messy little chatterbox is 6 years today. Shall i reiterate how fast time zooms pass. maybe not. but yeah, it too reminds me how old i'm getting (i used to really 'worship' people who were 16 last time) it's so fast that it's getting scary.

as a form of celebration for this glorious occasion - my brother turning 6 and me getting older :X, we all went to watch Wall.E. i know people will be like "are you insane? prelims tomorrow and you still go watch movie???" i said that to myself too so they're not alone. yet, for my beloved brothers sake , we all headed to Suntec to catch the movie. i wasn't disappointed. a definite brilliant watch people! the story, superb. not to mention it's witty, funny and hilariously cute! what's more, there's like barely a few lines of dialogue and they managed to convey every single expression and feeling exceptionally clearly using pure genius animation of the various characters. i'm still amazed at how the tech behind entertainment has managed to come so far.

enough of my rambles so good luck for tomorrow. may you have inspiration to write and that the new air-conditioners don't freeze your bum off.

BYOD.

Bring Your Own Drink. yeap. nowadays we're all getting ripped off by the horrid price of drinks. take the vending machine, the new one, in our school for example. i know we have to pay for it to be on all day one and so on and so forth but i mean $1.40 for a bottled drink? we're students for goodness sake. however i'm still okay with it there out of convience on saturdays, it;s just that i won't be buying from it often. also today my sister, actually i have no idea why, but she spent $1.50 on the tiniest bottle of coloured drink i've ever seen. and it was just grape juice. a little more she could've bought a whole carton of REAL grape juice.

moral of the story, bring your own drink wherever u go. preferbly water - the best beverage.

it did rain today. oh the glorious rain. and the lessons? boring? yeah. pretty much.

plus, for PE we were disallowed to play our beloved volleyball and were forced to do some lame dance for ACES day. bleaughh. i mean, come on, why did the school have to do away with last year's routine? it was so fab, so cool, so much fun. we could at least do something similar. And the trainer too, sebastian, was so nice and funny. where'd he go huh?

meh. what to do. i guess we gotta endure a lil' while.

today for character Ed, which i quite enjoy by the way, we delved into a deeeep subject - Marriage.

Marriage - such a strong word. a bond, an eternal bond between two lovers. we talked a lot about marriage, about tying the knot, about having kids next time and most importantly what kind of guy are you looking for. Many have loads of their physical and materialistic requirements for their future spouse, e.g they have to be a certain height, handsome/pretty , a good job... etcetera.

but me, i have none of those. for me character is the most important. Even of my guy is averagely handsome or not so rich, as long as he loves me and sees me as just me, i'll love him. of course if he does happen to be good looking, i'm not complaining, it's a bonus. my idea of a perfect man, is one that i can spend every second of every day with. one that i could never live without. he must understand me inside out and see me for who i am. he must also be someone that can make me smile, that can make me laugh, one whom i simply love the company of. ohh i could write a whole book about all this, yet none of the traits in the book will be about physical and materialistic requirements.

however, i must admit. i've quite a soft spot for western 'ang moh' guys. especially british ones :)british musicians, british football players... but i've never met a brit guy so i wouldn't know anyway.

gah. why the hell am i talking about marriage? i'm not even freaking 16 years old yet.

seriously, Beijing Olympics has been a true BLAST to watch. totally hooked onto it. i enjoyed watching...

table tennis and cheering on Singapore! Congrats to our team, bagging the silver medal in the team event and ending Singapore's 48 year olympic medal drought.

swimming and Michael Phelps. scream girls scream! hahaha. he was simply awesome. 8 golds, many world records, including the record of having the most golds. Rock on Phelps!

Women football. interestingly i didn't manage to catch the Men's football. the women were so cool and i think they are so so good, as good as the men! they're even as rough if not rougher then the men. and USA won - beating Brazil

and my FAVOURITE event. GYMNASTICS! oh yeah! there's Shawn Johnson, whom i love cos she's simply UH-MAY-ZING. and she's also a smilely bubbly cute girl. haha! artistic gymnastics is so fun and great to watch, but sadly it's over! my fave apparatus to watch is the balance beam
