yesterday,
the tide was very low, not the lowest but low enough.
low tides should always be spent on the beach.
the cute mooncrab
a cute baby fish we found. still un-identified
a green marine shrimp
BUTTON shells!!! we found GAZILLIONS of them.
pipe fish, the cousin of the seahorse
the squishy, sticky, jelly-like carpet anemone
sea star
peacock anemone. very pretty underwater
the rare sand dollar!!!
we usually collect them overseas like tioman but it was so cool that we could find them here too! and alive as well.
you'd never guess this is a crab. yeah. he got his own camoflage
sea cucumber, whose name i cannot remember.
the elegant pretty brittle star, cousin of the starfish
a flatfish about to die because of some irresponsible fisherman!!!!!
GRRR...
some guy left his fishing line and HOOK lying around and this unlucky fish got STUCK in it.
it not only hurts the fish but kids who accidentally step on it too. X(
irresponsible, inconsiderate people. tsk tsk...
anyway after we tried so hard to get the hook out of its mouth (it really looked like the POOR fish was in terrible pain) we freed it from the line into the water but it died shortly after. sobs. poor fish.
