happened to come across this while looking for that Grocery Store Wars vid. it’s quite scary not only because there’s an incredible amount of truth in the message they are trying to put across but also because they are bringing up a very real issue, one that is happening, one that we all fail to see. though the series is based on happenings in America, i feel it’s applicable to all of us, the things we do, the things that will happen, it’s all the same.

i think it all comes down to greed really, Greed and money. We want everything for ourselves, do everything just such that it will benefit us, sometimes at the expense of others. Corperations want money, so what do they do? everything stated in the video from cheap tainted goods to scheming ways to make people buy things. then we, the people, have become puppets of their schemes, becoming equally greedy ourselves nowadays, always wanting new things, buying stuff like shoes and bags even when we have perfectly good ones lying around. and why? just so we can have better,nicer newer things than others. i admit, sometimes i’m one of those puppets.

this video(s) really hit me because it’s a really good message for all of us, for all of us to wake up, stop thinking of just ourselves, what we want, how much money we want to get what we want and start thinking about the consequences of some things we do, start thinking about how we affect the environment, the earth and everyone around us and how we may end up affecting ourselves.
