i'm sure everyone has seen normal rubik's cubes. the 2x2x2, the 3x3x3, the 4x4x4 and 5x5x5. but have you seen these?

3x3x5. there are only 30 of these in the entire world. cool huh.

now, onto the scary ones...

this looks freakily scary. must be a nightmare trying to solve it. it's called the 7x7x7 vcube by the way.

the Dodecahedron. actually i wouldn't say this actually looks very daunting. yet i'm sure it's a pain when it comes to solving it.

 

the overlapping cube. yikes!

the Cubeoctahedron. if i had one in my hands i doubt i'll even know how to turn it, let alone solve it.

that's just like woah. the Icosahedron Megaminx.

rhomball. that's like freaking oh my gosh. hahaha.

there's even a cube with a map on it. haha. if you get lost you still have to solve the puzzle first. it's a map of london by the way.

we've seen the hardest so now the easiest! 1x1x2.

i'm so loving the olympics now. the athletes are amazing. hats of to them - i'm sure all of them worked so very hard for this. also big congrats to Michael Phelps! he picked up his 7th gold already. jia you Phelps! you can beat Mark Spitz record!

oh yeah and i've realised that the smell i hate most in the world has got to be garbage. Yeaughhh. the worst smelling thing in garbage: old coffee powder and banana peels. double YUCK.

i'll be getting back to the TV now. Badminton mens single bronze match and the first EPL match of the 2008/2009 season - Arsenal and West Brom on now.

Rough and tough.

these few week's been tough, the next few weeks will be worse.

BUT, i am so proud and joyful to announce that...

O LEVEL ORAL IS OVER! yeah!

though i like talked total crap, i'm so relived it's over and done with. Also to be honest i'm pretty, no not pretty, really happy and quite satisfied with my Chinese O level results. i know i suck, being happy with a mere C5, but for me it's an achievement - i'm a usual F9 kid, been getting F9 since sec 2. so that's quite a good thing for me, having to pass chinese, but i'm not dropping it. i may as well try for a B. *note the word try* no guarantees... oh! and so many many congrats to those with Bs and As! Bravo guys.

thursday is officially over and i realised i've written TOTAL RUBBISH for the SS test just now. never have i written so much, like 1.5 pages of so much, out of completely nothing. serious i had absolutely no idea what to write for the essay because i ended up studying the completely wrong thing. i'll be lucky if she even gives me 2 marks (for stating the extent of my agreement.) Mdm Rozy gonna be laughing when she marks my script.

Happy Birthday to us!

first off,

HAPPY 43rd BIRTHDAY TO SINGAPORE!

Yeah!

 

i spent my national day morning climbing this! yeah a REAL rockwall. at labrador beach.

   

that's timmy on the wall. he's quite pro at it.

we were there with my parent's friends and a huge bunch of kids (their kids) so there were like 7 adults and 10 kids.

my brother matthew. he looks so small there haha.

 

my sister had a go...

my mum. haha. she didn't get very far :P but neither did i on that route. it's so much tougher than it seems and because this is REAL rock, limestone i think, the rocks are really really really sharp and painful to hold on to and finding just the right ledge to hang on to is terribly difficult cos it's real rock. i'll never find climbing artificial rockwalls difficult again (not that i really did before) because the ledges are like in your face is bright red colours and they are easy to hold on to, without your fingers bleeding and hurting bad later on.

though, he wasn't very much above the ground. haha. nah that was one of the tougher ones too. i mean, even my dad can't get up it - he's a way better climber than i am.

 

Uncle Kee Seng coming down. he's the super pro. he was the one who helped us set up all the ropes and stuff (:

 

we borrowed some climbing shoes. climbing shoes are crazily extremely tiny for those who didn't know and they make your feet squeeze in such that your toes are curled. And they are quite a torture to wear, modern day binding of feet...okay not that bad. haha. but they are amazing. they make your feet feel so so agile that they can fit into any nook and cranny on the way and i really felt as if i could literally walk up the wall in them. i'm still slightly awed by the interesting shoe one that makes your feet look scarily small when you actually get them on.

 

haha. one way to get up the wall - have someone push your bum up.

i climbed till there! (that's not me, that's uncle tiak) it doesn't look tall but it's pretty high alright. i was the second to sucessfully get there, first being my sister cos i was belaying her. pity i don't have any pictures of me climbing. didn't take any.

after all the climbing then they all did repeling! i gave this one a pass. didn't feel like scrambling up the giagantic rock.

my brother again, taking repelling to the fullest.

andrew didn't really climb much. he sent most of his time with melanie. Awwww. young romance. hehehe.

they certainly had fun...

perfect day at the beach (sorta). a pop-up tent, a picnic and rockclimbing.

 

and the sea, was awesome.

Happy day-before-singapore's-birthday day

this year's celebration was pretty fun to be honest, i enjoyed it - also we were really enthu this year so, yeah, we had fun jumping, singing and laughing.

where's my brain, i forgot to bring my camera. darn. our LAST national day celebration in TK and i don't have pictures. what a bummer. i'm sure daniel has loads of good pics - he was running around with his cool camera snappin' away.

oh! and i've FINISHED Breaking Dawn! all 756 pages of it. and all under 24 hours. okay, it took a span of 2 days but if you calculate the hours i've been reading  it'll definately clock in below a day.

Breaking Dawn is AMAZING. it's all about:

WEREWOLVES,

and TRUE LOVE.

'Nuff said.

and it's an absolutely 100%-positively a MUST read!

Mmmm. i want to melt into Edward's arms...

i'm off to enjoy my national day eve and try the guitar again. yep i'm hopelessly trying to learn, what a bad time. and i'm going to attempt to catch 8:08:08pm, 08/08/2008 on my watch. see if my camera is fast enough (:

Temptation.

there's a book on my table. a black book. a book with two chess pieces on it, one is red. a book which i have been so patiently await the arrival of. my hand absent-mindedly reaches of the novel. "it's here! it's sitting on your desk! open it, read it.you've been waiting so long..." my mind screams in encouragement. Ah, but my conscience takes over, causing my arm to dart backwards. No. i can't read it. no doubt that even if i take a tiny peep at the first page i'll get stuck in it and i won't put the book down till i've read the very last word on the very last page. then my physics marks will be damned. oh dear i'm babbling off again.that was so lame.

okay. i think i've established that i won't be reading breaking dawn till tomorrow. But, even without reading it, i reccommend it as a star read! though you gotta, or should, read the first 3 books first. and BTW my sister finished it already.

so everyone should go get Breaking Dawn and I should go get back to physics.
